A Film Tour of London Like Never Before

with No Comments

Traveling is like breathing to me. I find my life is worthwhile when I travel, and that’s why I keep making plans to go to new cities and countries to enrich my life. I share all my experiences with you at View Site. Today I am going to talk about some beautiful locations in London that were used in popular movies. Fans often flock to these places to click pictures to enliven the memories of their favorite movies in the real world. If you are a movie buff, this post is just for you.

Notting Hill

Though I am not a fan of romantic movies, I have a particular liking for Notting Hill. First, the movie was truly beautiful. Second, the real filming location is par excellence. Just come here, enjoy the tranquility in the air, visit some of the bookshops located at Blenheim Crescent or visit Portobello Market. Sometimes I feel Instagram was made for capturing the beauty of a location like this.

Leadenhall Market

How can you talk about London filming locations without mentioning Harry Potter? The Leadenhall Market is the place where Diagon Alley was shot for Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Head over to the Bull’s Head Passage in this location to find the entrance Leaky Cauldron, the famous wizarding pub that led to the Alley in the movies.

Hatton Garden

I sometimes wonder why this beautiful and Zen space is part of so many crime films. Hatton Garden’s Ye Olde Mitre pub was featured prominently in the film Snatch. However, if you really want the best cinematic views of this place, you must first watch The Hatton Garden Job, a film based on a real-life burglary.

South Bank

Everybody loves South Bank. There is something so attractive yet so powerful about this place that you won’t be able to keep your eyes off it for long. The spot has been featured on countless movies like Four Weddings and a Funeral, Closer, Love Actually, and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Trafalgar Square

This place is a pilgrimage for all Captain American fans like us at View Site. The location was featured in Captain America: The First Avenger. However, if you paid attention to V for Vendetta, you will find this place during the crowd march scene right before they go to the Houses of Parliament.

London Mews

Whether it is Love Actually or Notting Hill, the popular Netflix series The Crown or Kingsman” The Secret Service, a film location scout can’t keep his eyes off the London Mews for long. You have to see it to believe it. Another Instagram worthy location that you can’t afford to ignore.

There are many more places in London that you could go to, like Borough Market, Temple Church, Hampstead, Westminster Bridge, and Millennium Bridge. A movie lover can have a great time in the beautiful old city of London. Just make sure you come here on a sunny day so you can get bright and beautiful views. Till then, it’s a goodbye from View Site!
