Should You Stay in Serviced Accommodation for Your Next Holiday?

with No Comments

As soon as I start telling friends and family about my upcoming trips, they always want to know if I will be staying in a serviced accommodation. Most often, I use the term accommodation to refer to hotels or apartment complexes. But the term can also refer to hotels that cater to parents with kids who want a family-friendly vacation.

Of course, being a millennial, I like a variety of locations. That is why I am even considering going to Bristol, a small city in the northwest of England, for my upcoming holiday. Bristol has a rich history and lots of places that are worth visiting.

But before I decide, let’s discuss the pros and cons of staying in a serviced apartment or hotel for a holiday.

Pros of Staying in Serviced Accommodation for Your Holiday

There are certainly some things that I like about staying in a serviced apartment or hotel for my next holiday.

I like the variety and flexibility to choose my accommodation based on the city and location that I am going to, with the serviced accommodation Bristol has available spanning the entire spectrum of the different types of serviced apartments you can get. If I am going to stay in an expensive location, I can always choose to stay in a cheaper location. For example, I could stay in a serviced apartment in a tourist-friendly area in Bristol, which costs about $70 per night. Or I could stay in a serviced apartment in a nearby town that I would want to visit. That means I would save money for my trip.

Another example is if I am going to visit a beach resort for the weekend. I can stay in a place that is about $50 per night and save money for my holiday.

Another advantage is that if I am not travelling with my family, then I can choose a private apartment or hotel room. The average cost of a serviced apartment or hotel room is around $100 per night.

The cost of the apartment and the luxury of the hotel room makes it a convenient choice for my next trip. Plus, I can work from home during my vacation. All I might need would be some essential supplies like files, folders, and windowenvelopes from online stores like office monster or similar office supply firms and I’ll be good to go. That makes me happy and gives me more time to enjoy my trip.

The Cons of Staying in Serviced Accommodation for Your Holiday

Of course, there are some disadvantages to staying in a serviced apartment or hotel.

It would be inconvenient if the services and the WiFi were not working. Of course, I will always look at other options before I stay in a serviced apartment or hotel. So I can always check the reception of the place to find out if the services and the WiFi are working or not.

Another reason that I would hesitate to stay in a serviced apartment or hotel is the location of the place. I would want to be close to the other people in the hotel or apartment complex. So if I am not traveling with my family, I would prefer to stay at a place that is close to other people.

The pros far outweigh the cons, but it also depends on what kind of traveller you are and the plans you have around your next holiday.
