If you’re planning a vacation, you’ve probably come across the various holiday parks in Devon. They’re big parks that have a lot to offer, but one thing people tend to wonder about before committing to a pass purchase is what all actually comes with a park pass.
Today, we’re going to go over what you get when you buy entry to one of the holiday parks, some general activities, and whether or not it’s a good idea.
Let’s get started.
1: Waterparks
All of the Devon holiday parks come complete with fully fleshed-out waterparks. These parks include pools of various depths, waterslides, and other popular waterpark attractions for kids and adults.
Each of the parks is different, too. So, if you stay in one park, and then you go to another, you’ll get a completely different waterpark experience.
2: Beach Access
Not every Devon holiday park has beach access, but a couple of them do. In fact, one of the Woolacombe parks is entirely themed around it.
Beach access, without having to drive or walk a long distance, is a huge bonus, and it adds a ton of value to a holiday park pass. To make it even better, the beaches are well-kept and absolutely beautiful to look at.
3: Playgrounds
When you’re trying to be lazy on your vacation, but the kids simply won’t relax, you’ll want a playground around to keep them busy. All of the holiday parks have playground areas built-in specifically for kids, and each of the parks has different themes for their playgrounds.
These are key for keeping the kids busy when you’re just trying to relax and rejuvenate after months of non-stop work.
4: Horseback Riding
Some of the parks in Devon offer horseback riding for both first-timers and experienced pros; pair this with the incredible scenery, and you’re in for a real treat.
5: Fishing and Sports
If you’re into fishing, there are fishing areas in several of the parks, and you’re free to target your next personal best as long as you follow the park’s rules.
For another type of sport, there are fields and courts available for impromptu tennis matches, basketball, and various other sports; this is great if you’re a social butterfly and meet another couple or family you’re interested in having a good time with.
6: Pubs
What would a vacation be if you didn’t stop by a pub for good food, drink, and friends? All of the holiday parks have pubs, and they’re designed to be the perfect mingling grounds for meeting people from abroad. You don’t just get a meal and a drink; you get friends you’ll never forget, too.
